I just got done with a meeting with Johan's lab group. The group consisted of me, Thijs, Tila, Sanne, and Pam Smith [an American who recently got a new job in San Diego]. We talked about my proposal, and they really liked it! They made a few suggestions, and we had some really good discussion. I really liked talking with them. They make me feel smart. :) All of them are really smart and they have a lot of interesting ideas. I really felt like we were all colleagues. It was, as a lot of things here, just different. I know I keep saying that, but I don't know how to articulate the differences. Other than, it's different and I like it!
